Long Review:
Whether it's good or not really depends on your personal preference and
how you like your coffee. Some people like sweet coffee, others prefer
bitter, and then there's someone like me who enjoys a balanced flavor.
When comparing LatteTude’s caramel macchiato with Richiamo's caramello
latte and Bask Bear's salted caramel hazelnut macchiato, Bask Bear's is
super sweet (on full sugar), Richiamo's is balanced, and LatteTude's is
bitter. I can only comment based on that.
As for the mocha, the coffee
flavor is strong, even stronger than the caramel macchiato, with just a
hint of chocolate at the very end. I've never been a fan of mocha, so
the only ones I've tasted are this one, Wonda's, and Otter Barista
(coffee vending machine). If you like Wonda's and Otter's mocha, you
probably won't like this one.
Now, onto my new favorite drink—the
Belgium chocolate! I love it! Most people close to me know that I'm not a fan of
chocolate due to its predictable taste (white and dark chocolate is an
exception). But this Belgium chocolate is a delightful surprise! It's
not too sweet, just the right amount of richness.
It's all about the ✨ balance ✨. Additionally, the top layer of their
drinks is really frothy, especially the Belgium chocolate and caramel
macchiato. It has a "tarik" texture, which is great.
Moving on to the
nasi lemak—let's start with the portion size. The nasi lemak is slightly
smaller than my hand. It has all the components of nasi lemak except for
cucumber. The egg is half-boiled and is one-eighth (1/8) of a full-sized
egg. There were a few half-crispy anchovies and roasted peanuts,
probably fewer than 5 pieces of each.
As for the taste, it's tasty—not
the best nasi lemak I've ever had, but definitely flavorful. The rice
itself isn't very coconutty or fragrant, but it's decent. The sambal
however is savory, not too oily or wet, and not sweet at all. For your information, I've eaten a nasi
lemak in Cyberjaya that has a wet sambal, which I find disgusting. 🤮 If you're
wondering what I mean by "wet sambal," it's when you put sambal on your
rice or plate and a literal pool of water forms around it.
For context, since moving to Cyberjaya, I've been on a quest to find the
best nasi lemak in the area. I’ve tried many and been disappointed with
90% of them, even though they're labeled as "viral." But this one is
good enough that I could eat it every day.
Ever since I started driving my own car to work, my routine has changed significantly. I walk past this shop every day on my way to work and can't help but notice its small but cozy space and the tempting smell of coffee. Despite all this, I never tried it—until January 20th. It was almost 9 AM, I was feeling the Monday blues, and I hadn’t clocked in yet, but I decided to risk it by stepping inside the shop. I ended up going back for the next three days, trying something different each time. However, on the third day, the shop didn’t open on time, so I ended up ordering during lunch instead. I really hope they expand their menu to include some pastries or even a simple sandwich for breakfast like the other branch in Rekascape.
