Long Review:
First of all, I didn't order nasi lemak but actually Classic Beef Burger. Unfortunately, after waiting for an hour for them to prepare my order, I was told the burger was sold out. They asked if I wanted to exchange it for chicken tenders or nasi lemak so I picked nasi lemak.

Surprisingly, the nasi lemak was the best item out of everything I tried today. The sambal was quite tasty, though the rice was a bit mushy. The anchovies were crunchy but had a strong fishy taste that I didn't enjoy. Are fried anchovies supposed to taste like that? I'm not sure but it was my first time tasted this on fried anchovies, so it was kinda disgusting. The egg was fine, nothing much to say except the texture was soft and pleasant to chew.

Now, onto the star of the restaurant - the CHICKEN. Sadly, it didn't live up to the hype. The seasoning was only on the skin, and once you bit through it, there was no flavor in the meat at all. It also doesn't have any hint of spiciness. I had already read and watched reviews saying the chicken lacked flavor, and I can now confirm that's true. I looked through the comments, and the feedback was consistent. That means, it's the problem with the recipe.

As for the fries... oh boy. It was like biting into cardboard. They were salted but they’d been sitting out all day to become stiff like that.

Lastly, the Mellow Malt. It's supposed to be a chocolate drink, but it didn't taste like chocolate at all. It tasted like synthetic flavoring gone wrong.

Today, I wanted to iftar with Ahmad's Fried Chicken, a place I've been eyeing for quite some time. Parking is usually difficult since it's close to a kindergarten, but I was lucky enough to find a spot right in front of the shop lol.

As soon as I entered, it almost felt like a kids' park. So many parents with their children, some crying, shouting, and playing with the automatic door like it was their first time seeing one. The queue was long, but the ordering process moved fairly quickly, so the line kept moving.

After I placed my order, finding a seat was tough, but luckily, I got one (without a table) right in front of the counter, next to a spilled chocolate drink. I waited there from 5:56 PM until 7:00 PM. While waiting, I watched everyone around me.

I saw parents queuing up to order chicken, only to be told by the cashier they'd have to wait an hour. When they tried to switch to burgers, they were told only the Classic Beef was available. Some parents also tried to claim the free ice cream that had been advertised before the grand opening, but were told the ice cream machine was broken.

But when I placed my order, the cashier didn't mention anything about a one-hour wait for the chicken, so I assumed mine wouldn't take that long.

It was a mess. The screen showed a huge menu filled with AI-generated, scrumptious-looking images. But when you tried to order, this item was unavailable, that one too. I still remember they have posted everywhere that they have 20+ new recipes. But in reality, they only have like 5 items.

What's worse is that they didn't bother to inform customers ahead of time. No notice on the door, no heads-up about unavailable items. People waited 15 minutes in line only to leave empty-handed. I overheard staff mentioning someone ordered 100 pieces of chicken. That probably explained the ridiculous one-hour wait time. What a selfish idiot, ordering that much during peak hours at a newly opened restaurant. Hope you and your party enjoyed your 100 tasteless chickens.

I noticed customers who ordered after me already receiving their food. They were getting burgers. But then I heard the staff telling another customer that the burgers were sold out. At 7:00 PM, as the crowd finally started thinning out for iftar, I heard a staff member say, "Aku buat order 2079.... Alamak... burger habis." That was my order. That moment, I decided I'm definitely giving this place a 1-star review if the food is also trash.

They finally asked me to choose a replacement, so I took the nasi lemak. I don't even know if the nasi lemak price is equivalent to the burger. But they took like 5 minutes to prepare my order after they asked me that. Speechless.
